About Dimitri

Dimitri is a London-based psychotherapist and relationship expert with over 17 years of experience helping women and men transform their love lives. With roots from the Greek island of Ithaca—symbolic of returning home, regaining oneself, or renewal after struggle—and raised in South Africa, his early life was shaped by rich cultural contrasts and powerful personal influences. Chief among them was a fiercely intelligent and powerful Greek mother who was forced to navigate a deeply patriarchal society.

Watching his mother face a world in which women’s worth was often overlooked left a lasting mark. Even as a boy, Dimitri noticed the quiet sacrifices and unfair expectations placed on women. This sparked a lifelong curiosity about love, power, and why something as fundamental as relationships could feel so broken.

After earning a Psychology Honours degree from Birkbeck, University of London, and an MA in Psychotherapy and Counselling from Middlesex University, he trained at the Minster Centre, becoming a UKCP-accredited psychotherapist. Over time, a clear pattern emerged: clients—both women and men—came to him confused and frustrated, wondering why real love still felt out of reach despite doing everything ‘right’; everything ‘expected’ of them.
